LANDSCAPE DESIGN FRONT

Front English Garden Design Overview:
As you approach the home, the transformation is immediately striking. The existing front plantings have been thoughtfully removed to create an unobstructed view of the front entry, emphasizing the welcoming doorway and giving the facade a clean, sophisticated look.
Framing the property is a classic white picket fence, adding a touch of nostalgic charm and enhancing the curb appeal. Just behind the fence, a delightful mix of perennials softens the hard lines of the structure, gracefully transitioning the eye from the sidewalk to the home. These perennials are thoughtfully chosen for continuous blooms throughout the seasons, featuring favorites like Lavender, Salvia, and Coneflowers, which provide texture, color, and a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
To balance the proportions of the home, Dogwood trees are planted at both corners of the garage. Their elegant branches and delicate blossoms add height and architectural interest, beautifully framing the garage while offering seasonal color with vibrant spring blooms and striking fall foliage.
The front of the garage is softened with layered plantings, including mixed perennials that blend seamlessly into the rest of the garden. These plants are selected for their varied heights, colors, and textures, ensuring year-round visual interest.
Flanking the front door, the design showcases structured Boxwood ‘Green Gem’ hedges. Their compact, rounded forms provide a lush, evergreen foundation, perfectly paired with the elegant backdrop of white ‘Bobo’ Hydrangeas. The hydrangeas’ abundant, cone-shaped blooms bring a bright, airy contrast against the rich green of the boxwoods, creating a picture-perfect entrance that feels both inviting and refined.
The existing concrete sidewalk has been expertly leveled, ensuring a smooth and safe walkway while complementing the clean lines of the landscape. In addition, the existing garden beds have been regraded and slightly reduced in height, strategically improving drainage and preventing water pooling near the foundation, which enhances the long-term health of the plants and the home’s structure.
